The Middle Path-Turtleback Home
The Middle Path-Turtleback Home is a thriving sober living home dedicated to supporting women on their journey to recovery from addiction and/or mental health challenges. We utilize a combination of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and holistic practices to guide each resident toward emotional stability, personal growth, and long-term recovery.
Our home is structured and offers a full-time, live-in Peer Leader to provide support and guidance. We encourage residents to attend an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), either in-person locally or virtually, to further support their recovery goals.
We also offer comprehensive case management services to help residents stay on track with their recovery, including required attendance at AA, NA, Dharma, Smart Recovery, and other group meetings. Residents are supported in obtaining a sponsor, as well as exploring opportunities for work, school, and volunteering.
Holistic healing is a key component of our approach. In addition to therapeutic practices, we offer art therapy, money management classes, food and mood workshops, and seasonal cooking classes. Weekly house meetings and in-home AA meetings help foster community and accountability.
Conveniently located, our home is within walking distance of an AA clubhouse and just a mile from grocery stores, medical providers, and IOP programs. Many job opportunities are available a block away along Savannah Highway, and we are three miles from downtown Charleston. Residents also have access to public transportation, with bus lines nearby, and we provide bicycles for easy mobility.
Parking for vehicles is available, and we encourage a supportive, community-based environment where women can thrive in their recovery journey.
